Repairs

In many instances, it is more practical to repair a part than replace it. The Secart Aerospace Service Team follows a six step approach for composite repairs:

1. Pre-Repair Inspection and Analysis:  We inspect the damaged part to determine the best approach to effect its repair.

2. Damage Removal:  We carefully remove the entire damaged area without compromising adjacent areas.

3. Replacement:  We replace the new piece, taking care to duplicate the original laminate to maintain the functionality of the part. During lamination, we always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for curing resins and adhesives.

4. Post-Repair Inspection and Testing:  We perform an in-depth inspection of the repair, administering appropriate functionality tests, if applicable.

5. Cosmetic Tweaks:  We remove all traces of the repaired section by precisely matching the color, texture and polish of the area.

6. Final Inspection:  All repairs are thoroughly inspected prior to returning to service.
